Jaala was active in Young Labor and has been a Young Labor Delegate to the ALP National Conference.
Since 1994 Jaala has been an Organiser with the National Union of Workers, Victorian Branch. She has worked as an advocate for injured workers, achieving better outcomes for members through conciliation of individual disputes and campaigning for improvements to legislation and administrative arrangements in this area, and as a Union Organiser.
Jaala has two children aged 3 and 1 and is an active member of her community child care centre.
In the last 15 years Jaala has held various positions in the Party including State and National Conference Delegate, and is a past president of the ALP Victorian Branch’s Women’s Policy Committee. Back to About NLWN |
