A twenty-two year old activist from Pymble, Victoria first became politically active in 1999 during the Republic Referendum. Victoria is a student of Psychology at the University of Sydney.





Geraldine Burgess - Candidate for Moore

Geraldine is the manager of an Employment Services Contract held by a not-for-profit Job Network organisation. She has held several management positions with Indigenous organisations.

Jodie Campbell was elected to Launceston City Council as an Alderman in 2002 and Deputy Mayor in 2005. She was a team leader in corporate support at the Ansett call centre in Launceston, serving as a union delegate and leading the campaign to recover the entitlements of workers upon the collapse of Ansett.

Mia Handshin - Candidate for Sturt

Mia wrote a weekly opinion column for The Advertiser newspaper for 10 years. During this time she also worked as an Associate to an Adelaide barrister, represented Australia at forums including the UNESCO General Assembly and Commonwealth Parliamentary Association’s International Youth Parliament, was an appointed South Australian delegate to the Constitutional Convention and completed an internship with the International Crisis Group in Brussels.

As a local resident and active community member, Sharryn was privileged to serve as the first Federal Member for Hasluck. Most recently, Sharryn worked for the State Government as a Ministerial Chief of Staff and as Director of the Community Cabinet Liaison Unit.

Louise was elected to the Western Australian Legislative Council as a member for the East Metropolitan Region in 2001. Louise is the youngest woman ever elected to the Western Australian Legislative Council. She has served as a member of both the Gallop and Carpenter Labor Governments.


Liz Prime - Candidate for Cowan

A nurse for 37 years, Liz is currently the Director of Nursing at the Joondalup Health Campus and is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at Curtin University.

Kerry Rea has represented the Ward of Holland Park on Brisbane City Council since 1997. Kerry has delivered on key projects and infrastructure for the community such as the Holland Park Suburban Centre Improvement Project, the Mount Gravatt Suburban Centre Improvement Project, a new PCYC in Mount Gravatt. Before entering Council, Kerry worked for a State Minister.

Jane left school at the age of 13 to work in an abattoir. In her early 20s she obtained her qualifications in primary school teaching and later a law degree. She represented the North Coast in the NSW Upper House from 1995 to 2003. Recently, she has worked as Liaison Officer with the Australian Troops deployed from 3RAR in East Timor.
